By this time in the school year, everyone is ready for a break: a break from the cold, dreary weather, a break from being cooped up inside, and a break from the everyday routine.
Good news! Bush-N-Vine Farm is offering field trips this spring! Here’s what you can expect: *Our field trips are best suited for students in grades Kindergarten—3rd grade. *Students will learn about the life cycle of the strawberry plant will have the opportunity to pick strawberries to take home (depending on availability). *Students will learn about the importance of honey bees on the farm and will see the bees busy at work inside our observation beehive. *Students will visit the greenhouse and will get to plant their own seeds to take home. *Students will learn about the farmer’s occupation and what it's like to have a career in agriculture. *We have picnic tables and grassy areas available for you if you’d like to eat your lunch here. *Cost per student, parent, sibling is $8.40. No cost for teachers. We accept cash, check, or credit card. Please note that there is a convenience fee if paying with a credit card. *Field trips will be offered April 15, 2020—May 15, 2020. We expect our schedule to fill up quickly, so we recommend that you schedule your field trip as soon as possible. *Field trips begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. and last roughly 1 hour and 30 min. We ask that school groups depart by 12 noon. *You must have a minimum of 25 students to schedule a field trip. *Field trips must be scheduled in advance. *For more information or to schedule your field trip, please email Susan Hall.
