At Bush-N-Vine we have been growing fresh fruits and vegetables since 1979. The Bush-N-Vine Farm has been in the Hall family for over 150 years. Originally the farm was solely a peach farm. The building located on our farm in York, South Carolina was used as a peach packing shed in the 1950's and 60's. In 1979, Bob Hall reopened the doors using the space as an open air market. After graduating from Clemson University in 1980 Bob made farming his career. He has been selling delicious fresh fruits and vegetables in the stand ever since. His hard work and dedication to farming are the reason Bush-N-Vine Farm is what it is today! In 2010 after graduating from Clemson University, Sam Hall started working full-time on the farm. It is our desire here at Bush-N-Vine Farm to keep that family farm producing fresh fruits and vegetables like it has for the past several generations. Our CSA Program
Have you heard of this? Maybe you have heard it called a CSA box, a farm share, or Community Sponsored Agriculture. People use a variety of names, but they all mean the same thing. Here's how it works. For now I will refer to this program as a CSA. You pay the farmer in advance for a box of produce that you will receive on a weekly basis. Here on our farm, we offer CSAs five times throughout the year-- spring, summer 1, summer 2, fall, and winter. Each CSA season is seven weeks long except for winter. (Our winter CSA lasts for four weeks). Okay, so you choose which CSA season you would like to sign up for, choose which size box you're interested in (small, medium, or large), and pay in advance. In return, we provide you with fresh fruits and vegetables picked straight from our farm. All you have to do is come each week and pick up your CSA box which will be packed and ready for you to take home and enjoy. How much produce will you receive? That depends on the size share you purchased. A small share feeds roughly 2-3 people. A medium feeds about 3-4 people. A large feeds around 5-6. CSAs are a great way to eat healthy and to buy locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. The convenience of being able to quickly pick up a box of fresh produce each week is also a plus for busy families. Want to know more? Visit our CSA Program page.
