School is in full swing, and the weather is beautiful and crisp. Time for your class to take a break from the regular routine and enjoy an educational morning at the farm! Here's what you can expect:
*Our field trips are best suited for students in grades Kindergarten—3rd grade. *Students will learn about the life cycle of the strawberry plant. *Students will learn about the importance of honey bees on the farm and will see the bees busy at work inside our observation beehive. *Students will learn about the life cycle of the pumpkin and see pumpkins growing on the vine. *Students will learn about the farmer’s occupation and what it's like to have a career in agriculture. *We have picnic tables and grassy areas available for you if you’d like to eat your lunch here. *Cost per student, parent, sibling is $8.40. No cost for teachers. We accept cash, checks and credit cards. (Please note that there will be a convenience fee for credit card payments). *Field trips will be offered Oct 1st - 31st. We expect for our schedule to fill up quickly, so we recommend that you schedule your field trip as soon as possible. *Field trips begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. and last roughly 1 hour and 30 min. We ask that classes be ready to depart by 12 noon. *There must be a minimum of 25 students to schedule a field trip. * Each child will receive a personal size pumpkin to take home and each class will receive one large pumpkin. *Field trips must be scheduled in advance. *For more information or to schedule your field trip, please email (Susan) at [email protected].
